How to Set Up IBO Player on Smart TV & Firestick (Complete 2026 UK Guide)
Set up IBO Player on your Smart TV or Firestick in five steps — install the app, note your MAC address and device key, and add your subscription details.

One screen, two separate products
IBO Player is the app. Your IPTV subscription provides the playlist.
IBO Player turns your Smart TV or compatible streaming device into a platform for watching live TV, movies and series. The app does not contain any channels. First install the player, then add the M3U link or Xtream codes provided with your subscription.

How to Set Up IBO Player
Labels may vary slightly between IBO Player versions, but the process stays the same: install, identify the device, add the account, refresh the app.
- 1
Install IBO Player
Search for IBO Player in the app store of your Samsung, LG, Android TV or compatible streaming device (Firestick: Amazon Appstore). Avoid random APK files when an official version is available.
- 2
Open the account screen
Launch the app and note the Device ID / MAC address and the device key. Keep this screen open so you can compare the details.
- 3
Open the management website
On a phone or computer, open the playlist management page shown in the app. Enter the Device ID and device key exactly as displayed.
- 4
Add your subscription
Choose M3U playlist or Xtream codes, depending on the details from your provider. Give the playlist an easy name, save it and keep your login details safe.
- 5
Refresh the TV
Close and reopen IBO Player. Wait for the playlist and the electronic programme guide (EPG) to load completely before browsing channels.
Choose your device
Samsung Smart TV
- Open Apps from the Home menu and search for IBO Player by its exact name.
- Check your model year and Tizen software version if the listing does not appear.
- The Device ID / MAC address and device key are shown on the app's account screen.
- Menu names vary between models, so follow the on-screen labels rather than a generic guide.
Troubleshooting
Playlist not loading
Re-check the Device ID and device key on the management page, save again, then fully close and reopen the app.
Wrong MAC address / device key
Compare every character with the app's account screen. A single wrong character attaches the playlist to nothing.
App asks to activate
Activation is the app developer's own licence and is separate from your subscription. Check the developer's terms inside the app.
Buffering or freezing
Test another internet app on the same device, prefer a wired or 5 GHz Wi-Fi connection, and restart your router following its instructions.
EPG not showing
Allow extra time on the first load, then refresh the playlist from the management page and reopen the app.
